Fun, Frolics & Celebration during February

This month marks 80 years since the initial opening of the ski area, then named Surveyor Park. In January 1940, Sunny Korfanta started the first mechanized ski lift tow in Wyoming with the official opening in February.  Local newspaper, Pinedale Round Up reported over 1,000 skiers visited the ski area to celebrate.

We extend a warm welcome to our families and friends to come and enjoy the mountain. Conditions are at their best during February so come out and ride, slide, glide with us.   We have lots happening this month.

We kick off February by welcoming back Pinedale High School Alpine Racers, as well as Alpine Ski Teams from around the State (Casper, Cody, Jackson and Laramie High Schools).
Racers participate in both Giant Slalom and Slalom Races on Friday and Saturday.  Course will be set up on Wind River which will be the only run that is closed on both days.
Skiing Spectators can utilize the $9 "Single Ride" Lift Ticket to the top and ski down to the Start Line or anywhere on the course.
Lest we forget our darkest hour in 2019 when the lodge caught fire, we want to say thank you again to the wonderful team of First Responders in Sublette County.  Provide some ID to confirm yourself as a First Responder at the ticket office at White Pine and we will offer you a free day lift ticket or two tubing passes. We welcome back Sublette County United Fire, Pinedale Ranger District Fire Crew, Sublette County Sheriff's Office, SC Emergency Management, EMS, Highway Patrol.
School's out on President's Day so plan to celebrate a fun, family day at White Pine.  We will have the tubing hill open from noon til 4pm with unlimited rides just $20/person.
Little Spirit and Great Spirit will run all day from 9am-4pm.

Alpine Races will be held on Wind River run only on Saturday and Sunday.  Rest of the mountain is open to everyone as usual.

Open to all members of the White Pine Junior Snowsports Association, the "Shred Session" is a fun afternoon on the mountain with some coaching and skills development led by Club Director Shayla Schell.. Meet at the base of Little Spirit for grouping by age, discipline (skier or 'boarder) and ability. Volunteers/parents invited to join and assist with the groups.

"Shred Session" runs from 1pm-3pm followed by Hot Cocoa Social in the lodge so members can share stories and plan future events. Shredders without parent/guardian must be at minimum 5 years of age and able to load, unload and be able to progress down the mountain without assistance.

Find out more here on how to join the White Pine Junior Snowsports Club.
First Responders Celebration Day Sunday February 9th
White Pine thanks all First Responders.
