Exciting news at White Pine Ski Resort!

Exciting News ... Black trails clipped and cleared

For those who love to hit the black runs -  we are confident that you will be enjoying them even earlier this winter.  Last week, we called in the MP Forestry team to come and help us clip back all the young regenerating growth on the black runs on the west side of the mountain.  And what a difference it makes. Together with all the tree felling and burning of diseased timber in the trees along the edge of the runs across the ski area, work that has been done by the USFS Fuels Reduction Program administered by the Pinedale Ranger District team, Skiing at White Pine is going to be a whole new experience. So that we can brag about it, we have some great before and after pictures to share from around the mountain.

Tell us what you think about the new face of White Pine!

Have you heard that the newest gym in Pinedale, The Garage will be offering a 6 week Ski Conditioning course.  Gym owner Ranae Pape advises "Coach Mariana Green, has created a dry land strength and conditioning training cycle designed for Nordic and Alpine skiers. This class will build a stronger, healthier and more confident snow sport season by focusing on overall body strength, agility and balance through specific strength techniques. She will implement concentric leg training for trudging through deep snow and climbing steep terrain. She will use eccentric leg exercises to build muscle and prepare the legs for the force both alpine and Nordic skiing require. She will also implement constantly varied, high intensity functional movement that will test your cardiovascular endurance".

Complete the course and receive an 'endurance reward' from White Pine.
