“Ramshorn Guest Ranch Historic Tour” June 18 10:00-3pm
Craig Pine will lead visitors on a tour of the historic Ramshorn Guest Ranch as part of the Wind River Visitors Council Adventure Trek program.
Mr. Peterson built the first cabin on the ranch in 1919, later homesteading there in 1920. The DuNoir Tie and Timber Company used the ranch in their operations during the late 1920’s and 30’s. In 1947, the Bolle and Prine families purchased and ran the ranch as a youth camp, dude ranch and guest ranch to date. Suffering major fire in 1987, the hands of the family and friends helped rebuild half of the ranch buildings using “beetle kill” trees from the property.
