The Lander Pioneer Museum & Wyoming Community Bank present Discovery Speaker Series: Wyoming, The Railroad State, The Impact of an Indispensable Industry, on Thursday, August 13, 7 pm, at the Lander Pioneer Museum, 1443 Main St.
A talk by historian and author Greg Nickerson on how the railroad is responsible for Wyoming as we know it today. The construction of the Union Pacific gave rise to the towns, economy and even the politics of Wyoming.
