SUMMARY:Wyoming Legislature - Select Committee on Blockchain\, Financial Technology and Digital Innovation Technology
DESCRIPTION:The purpose of this meeting is to continue the Select Committee's interim work. The Select Committee will receive updates from the University of Wyoming's (UW) Center for Blockchain and Digital Innovation\, the UW College of Law\, and the Office of U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis. The Committee will consider bill drafts related to the Wyoming Stable Token\, digital assets\, blockchain interruptible service tariffs\, Special Purpose Depository Institutions\, Decentralized Unincorporated Nonprofit Associations\, data privacy\, and virtual currency kiosks. In addition\, the Committee will review its enabling legislation to consider potential amendments and examine bill drafts concerning the right to repair digital electronic equipment and automatic subscription renewal and cancellation.\n\n\n\nThe meeting will be held in person in Laramie and remotely with a live video stream available on the Legislature's Website (www.wyoleg.gov). A limited number of participants can sign up to provide public comment virtually for a specified agenda item during the Committee's upcoming meeting. The total amount of time dedicated to virtual public comment is set by the Committee Chairmen per Management Council Policy. Please fill out the public comment form to ensure the Committee knows you intend to provide public comment virtually.
