The purpose of this meeting is to complete the Committee'\;s interim work. The Committee will review bill drafts related to the Wyoming Department of Family Services&rsquo\; confidentiality statutes\, mineral interest ownership and tracing\, the creation of a criminal offense for absconding for criminal purposes\, and the establishment of a criminal offense for grooming a minor. The Committee will also consider legislation addressing the availability of explicit materials in libraries\, the removal of the age-gap requirement for enhanced fentanyl penalties involving minors\, and authorization for the Wyoming Department of Health to contract with county jails for the treatment of detainees awaiting Title 7 criminal case evaluations. The Committee will additionally receive an update from the University of Wyoming College of Law.

\nThe meeting will be held in person in Cheyenne and remotely with a live video stream available on the Legislature'\;s Website (www.wyoleg.gov). A limited number of participants can sign up to provide public comment virtually for a specified agenda item during the Committee'\;s upcoming meeting. The total amount of time dedicated to virtual public comment is set by the Committee Chairmen per Management Council Policy. Please fill out the public comment form to ensure the Committee knows you intend to provide public comment virtually. Only those who fill out the form to provide public comments virtually and who are e-mailed the Zoom invite from the Legislative Service Office will be permitted into the Zoom meeting to testify.
