SUMMARY:Wyoming Legislature Joint 2023 Select Committee on Blockchain\, Financial Technology and Digital Innovation Technology
DESCRIPTION:The purpose of this meeting is to continue the Select Committee's interim work. The Select Committee will receive updates from the University of Wyoming\, Wyoming Stable Token Commission\, Wyoming Division of Banking\, and Wyoming Secretary of State's Office. The Select Committee will also consider the current state of cryptocurrency mining throughout Wyoming. The Select Committee will discuss bill drafts regarding the Wyoming Division of Banking classification and salary exemptions and the treatment of digital assets in bankruptcy proceedings. The Select Committee will further review bill drafts regarding expedited business filings with the Secretary of State's Office\, decentralized autonomous organizations\, data privacy\, and artificial intelligence.\n\n\n\nThe meeting will be held in person in Laramie and remotely with a live video stream available on the Legislature's Website (www.wyoleg.gov). A limited number of participants can sign up to provide public comment virtually for a specified agenda item during the Committee's upcoming meeting. The total amount of time dedicated to virtual public comment is set by the Committee Chairmen per Management Council Policy. Please fill out the public comment form to ensure the Committee knows you intend to provide public comment virtually.
