SUMMARY:Wyoming Legislature Joint 2023 Corporations\, Elections & Political Subdivisions
DESCRIPTION:The purpose of this meeting is to continue the Committee's interim work. Elections and numerous bill drafts will be considered the morning of the first day. Special districts and issues related to operations in general including voter participation\, requirements for indebtedness\, and filling vacancies will be discussed. The Secretary of State's Office will provide a general update and provide comment on draft legislation. The issue of a regulatory sandbox will be considered as well as a discussion of draft legislation. An educational presentation will be provided by members of electric utilities to discuss proposed rate increases. Certificated service territories of electric utilities will be the final topic for discussion. Please check back for the availability of bill drafts.\n\n\n\nThe meeting will be held in-person in Douglas\, WY and remotely with a live video stream available on the Legislature's Website\, www.wyoleg.gov. A limited number of participants can sign up to provide public comment virtually for a specified agenda item during the Committee's upcoming meeting. The total amount of time dedicated to virtual public comment is set by the Committee Chairmen per Management Council Policy. Please fill out the public comment form to ensure the Committee knows you intend to provide public comment virtually. Only those who fill out the form to provide public comments virtually and who are e-mailed the Zoom invite from the Legislative Service Office will be permitted into the Zoom meeting to testify.\n\n\n\nIndividuals who plan to provide materials to the Committee during the meeting should provide the materials in electronic format to Committee staff and provide sufficient hard copies for members of the Committee\, Committee staff and interested members of the audience.
