SUMMARY:Wilderness First Aid Course for Fremont County and Wind River Reservation Residents
DESCRIPTION:NOLS Wilderness Medicine is excited to bring their Wilderness First Aid course back to the Wyss Wilderness Medicine Campus for Fremont County and Wind River Reservation residents\, in appreciation of the local community's passion for outdoor activities and support of the NOLS organization. Prepare for the unexpected with this fun\, hands-on two-day introduction to wilderness medicine that covers a wide range of wilderness first aid topics for people who hunt\, play\, travel\, and work in the outdoors!\n\n\n\nCost for this course is just $100 for Fremont County and Wind River Reservation residents. Non-residents are welcome and encouraged to attend as well\, with a tuition cost of $210. If you are fluent in American Sign Language or Signed Exact English\, you may be eligible to receive a full scholarship for this course. You can also use your AmeriCorps education award for a WFA course with college credit. \nNOLS is the largest\, most comprehensive wilderness school that educates our students to step forward into an expedition\, wilderness medicine\, custom education or risk services offering. Graduates have a lifelong desire for leadership\, and a commitment to continued skills development and ongoing education. Since 1965\, NOLS has embraced and explored the unknown\, from field- and classroom-based courses to being leaders in wilderness medicine education.
