DESCRIPTION:The Great Scavenger Hunt at South Pass City State Historic Site\, Sept. 5\, 2015\n\nThis Labor Day weekend will see the first ever South Pass City State Historic Site Great Scavenger Hunt!  Make plans now to get some friends together or grab the family and head on up to South Pass City and join the hunt on Saturday\, Sept. 5. Clues will be given through the "voices" of former South Pass City residents. Seek your fortune on this historic scavenger hunt while learning their history. You find the scavenger hunt items all over town - on the Flood & Hindle walking trail and even up at the Carissa mill (the former gold mine). Clues will be hidden in the most unexpected places and "obfuscation" should be expected!  Awards include cash prizes and gift certificates. Tickets are $20.00 for a team of 1-4 people and include a free membership to the Friends of South Pass. The action starts at high noon and will run till about 4pm. Wear comfortable shoes\, and don't forget water\, sunscreen and your camera.
