DESCRIPTION:2015-16 Concert Season\n\nSeason tickets are available at the Lander Chamber of Commerce\, 160 N. 1st St.\, 332-3892.\n\n\n\n2015-16 Concert Series (all performances at Lander Valley High School Auditorium):\n\n\n\nStringfever\n\nMon\, Sept. 14\, 7 pm\n\nStringfever are world class musicians playing 5- and 6-stringed electric violins\, viola and cello in a truly original show. Stringfever's unique\, acclaimed version of Ravel's "Bolero" has all four playing on one cello simultaneously.\n\n\n\nTodd Green High-Tech One-Man Band\n\nMon.\, Oct 5\, 7 pm\n\nMulti-instrumentalist Todd Green performs origianl music on over 30 acoustic string\, flute and percussion instruments from all over the world\, inspired by many different world cultures. His custom-built electronic system allows him to layer instruments as he performs\, which in effect turns him into a high-tech one-man band of World Music.\n\n\n\nUniversity of Wyoming Helios Trio\n\nMon.\, Nov. 9\, 7 pm\n\nA trio of University of Wyoming faculty colleagues returns to Lander\, performing Schumann's and Ravel's piano trios and Schoenfield's Cafe Music on piano\, cello and violin.\n\n\n\nCrosswinds Trio\n\nMon.\,Nov. 23\, 7 pm\n\nCrosswinds Trio presents a unique sound in chamber music with their innovative arrangements. Their expressive and inspiring playing\, coupled with their diverse programming and humor\, has led to rave reviews and standing ovations\, with composers now eagerly writing for this renowned ensemble.\n\n\n\nBYU Young Ambassadors\n\nSat.\, Jan. 23\, 7 pm\n\nThe Young Ambassadors perform Heartsongs: Melodies of Love\, a stage production celebrating favorites from some of America's best-loved musical scores like Singing in the Rain\, Thoroughly Modern Millie and the Rodgers and Hammerstein Cinderrella. The show also highlights hits from artists like The Beatles and Michael Buble. The Young Ambassadors combine professional sound and staging with captivating choreography.\n\n\n\nNight in Old New Orleans\n\nMon. Feb. 8\, 7 pm\n\nDirectly from New Orleans\, music arranger and clarinetist Orange Kellin brings a trio of hot New Orleans musicians - piano\, clarinet and percussion - to paly the elegant\, thrilling and undeniable infectious Big Easy sounds of yesteryear.\n\n\n\nDeeply Rooted Dance Theater\n\nMon.\, April 4\, 7 pm\n\nChicago's Deeply Rooted Dance Theater is rooted in traditions of African-American dance\, storytelling and universal themes that spark a visceral experience and ignite an emotional response in diverse audiences worldwide. Collaborating with nationally renowned choreographers\, across the spectrum of modern\, ballet and African dance\, DRDT's work reflects many voices in contemporary life.\n\n\n\nJason Bishop\, Master Illusionist\n\nWed.\, April 20\, 7 pm\n\nThe Jason Bishop Show entertains audiences with the most dynamic illusion and magic show in the U.S. The show currently features exclusive grand illusions\, award-winning sleight of hand and "close-up" magic that is captured live and displayed on plasma and projection screens for the audience to have a clear view of every detail.
