This 40-minute film features adults with autism as they\n\ndiscuss the effects of trauma in childhood and their survivorship stories\n\nas adults. The film's director\, Valerie Paradiz\, PhD.\, is the director of\n\nthe Autistic Global Initiative\, a program of the Autism Research\n\nInstitute. She is the creator of Integrated Self Advocacy\, an\n\nevidence-based curriculum for families and support providers who wish to\n\nfoster individuals with autism and other disabilities in achieving greater\n\nself-determination and ability in self-advocacy.\n\n\n\nThis presentation is recommended for families with individuals with autism\,\n\nindividuals with autism\, their teachers and careproviders\, and anyone in\n\nthe general public interested in learning more. This screening has only\n\nbeen offered in Denver\, so we're pretty lucky to have it made available to\n\nour community!
