\n The first ever &ldquo\;Dancing with the Stars Lander&rdquo\; will \;take place at the Inn at Lander on Saturday\, May 3\, 2014. The event is modeled \;after the popular television series and will match a local &ldquo\;star&rdquo\; with a local dancer to help raise money for Community Entry Service.
\n\n Over 25 community leaders have volunteered to support this event\, including the \;following dance teams (click on each to learn more about them):

\n\n &bull\; \;Ryan Hedges &\; Lauren Fossen

\n\n &bull\; \;Nancy Pieropan &\; Roger Mork
\n\n &bull\; \;Mike Lilygren &\; Sophie Mosemann
\n\n Judges and supporting cast members include: Leslie Calkins\, Mark Calhoun\, Sue \;Meeker\, Billie Leafgreen\, and Dave Raynolds.
\n\n Dance teams are already practicing and seeking votes through donations to CES. \;To vote\, visit the \;Eventbrite page \;or find the link through \;Pitch Engine.
\n\n In-person donations are also being collected at the \;CES Hudson Center at 177 N. 3rd \;St. and In My Window at 306 Main St. Each dollar \;donated is one vote\, with a minimum of 10 votes. Votes are open as of January 20 \;and will continue through the event.
\n\n Tickets to the event will go on sale February 10\, 2014.
\n\n Community Entry Services is a private\, nonprofit 501(c)3 community-based \;organization dedicated to empowering people with disabilities to maximize \;independence and lead satisfying\, productive lives. CES provides help to 65 Lander \;clients with job training and support\; financial and academic skills\; recreation \;opportunities\; and daily living services.
\n\n The money raised at Dancing with the Stars Lander will be directed solely to the \;Lander program and clients.
\n\n Since 1975\, Community Entry Services have helped people in Lander with \;developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injuries live\, work\, and play as a part \;of the Lander community. Support services vary depending on client capabilities. \;Some live independently and work with Community Entry Services a few hours \;a week while others receive full-time services including housing\, meals\, therapy\, \;and daily activities. Our critical needs this year are repairs and maintenance of our \;group homes and equipment for two of our job programs- Neat Repeat and Lander \;Recycling.
