DESCRIPTION:Sign up now to participate in the Apple Orchard Weekends at Sinks Canyon Center.\n\nSaturday\, April 29: Pruning Workshop\, 9am-noon\; Grafting Workshop\, 1-4pm\n\nSunday\, April 30: Tree Planting Workshop\, 1-4 pm\n\n\n\nSaturday & Sunday\, May 6 & 7: Tree Planting Volunteer Day\, 9am-3pm\nA historic apple orchard located at Central Wyoming College's Sinks Canyon Center has received funds to help replenish deteriorating heritage apple trees that can be grown in Wyoming. \n\nFunds will allow for planting of new apple and other fruit trees\, pruning and spraying existing heritage apple trees\, improving the irrigation system\, constructing a deer-proof fence around the perimeter of the orchard and adding educational signage about the project.\n\nIn addition\, there will be community workshops on orchard restoration\, tree grafting and tree planting. The project will also provide internship opportunities for CWC students interested in the project.\n\n\n\nAll workshops are free and taught by Dr. Steve Miller\, University of Wyoming Professor of Botany.\n\nTo signup or for more information\, call CWC Lander 307-332-3394 or email landercenter@cwc.edu
