Job Description

*Job Purpose:* Wyoming Inc., a professional communications and PR marketing firm, has an entry-level opening for a Marketing Assistant. This position's primary responsibility is to assist the owner with day-to-day duties, including providing support for press communications, marketing strategy, advertising strategy, ad campaigns, communications consulting, marketing collateral
design and development, product research analysis, public relations consulting, special events coordination, and press conference facilitation for multiple clients.
*Duties:*
? Implements marketing and advertising campaigns; preparing
marketing and advertising strategies, plans and objectives; planning and organizing promotional presentations; updating calendars.
? Prepares marketing reports by collecting and analyzing data
for marketing plan development.
? Coordinate development of promotional materials including
collaboration with graphic designer; collaborate with owner for final
design approval before presenting to clients and placing orders;
verifying receipt, purchase and placement of orders.
? Researches client competition by identifying and evaluating
product characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising;
maintaining research databases.
? Plans meetings, press conferences, and trade shows by
identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements; establishing contacts; developing schedules and assignments; coordinating mailing lists.
? Develops media advisories and press releases, advertising
and promotional copy, campaign messaging, and creative branding strategies.
? Travels to assist client meetings and events within the State
of Wyoming on a rotational basis.
? Updates job knowledge by participating in educational
opportunities; reading trade publications.
? Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for
new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job goals.
? Provides regular reporting to the owner. Will include but not
be limited to reporting on the status of prioritized marketing and
communication activities. Reporting will be both historical and forward looking.
? Contributes to the total effectiveness of the company,
communicating openly, solving problems proactively, offering creative ideas and working as a positive, engaged team member.
? Performs related work as required and other duties as
assigned.
? Reports to owner.
*Skills/Qualifications:*
? The basic requirements of the marketing assistant position
are fluency and deftness in communication skills, excellent multitasking abilities, and superb oral and written communication skills.
? Excellent computer skills are a must. Knowledge of word
processing, spreadsheet, and file management will be required.
? A bachelor?s degree is preferred but not required. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
? Excellent interpersonal skills are a must.
? The ability to interact positively and respectively with coworkers and supervisor is a must.
? An ability to graciously accept constructive criticism is required.
