Job Description


The Wyoming Outdoor Council (Lander, WY) seeks to fill a position where the successful applicant will advocate for environmentally protective land-use plans under development by the Bureau of Land Management and the Forest Service in Wyoming. The successful applicant will take the lead and assist Council staff in technical, legal, administrative, and other activities related to this mission, including outreach to citizens and Outdoor Council members. The successful applicant will undertake similar activities related to the approval of large powerlines proposed for Wyoming. The successful candidate will have an understanding of western public lands issues and a commitment to public lands conservation. A degree in environmental law or natural resources policy or science is desirable, and background in GIS technology is preferable. This is a full-time exempt position.
